The most expensive perfume in the world is in the UAE at a price of 4.75 million dirhams
One of the perfume companies in the Emirates has developed a new perfume at a price that exceeds all expectations, and its value is estimated at 4.752 million dirhams. It is called Shumukh, and it took three years to prepare and test 494 perfumes.
The fragrance was packaged in a bottle that simply cannot be placed in a handbag, and was prepared and decorated with more than 3,500 diamonds, totaling 38.55 carats, in addition to rubies, pearls and 18-carat gold weighing more than two kilograms and more than five kilograms of pure silver.
The luxurious bottle is 1.97 meters tall. The fragrance itself is made using the “best” natural ingredients and its manufacturers say the scent can last on the skin for more than 12 hours and up to 30 days on fabric, according to Gulf News.
According to Guinness World Records, the most expensive perfume in the world, worth $205,000 (AED 752,000) per 500ml bottle, is the Clive Christian 1 collection, which was launched in November 2005.
According to the man behind the new fragrance, Asghar Adam Ali, Chairman and Perfumer of Nabil Perfumes Group, Shumukh honors “the spirit of Dubai.”
Ali said: “My vision was not only to capture the character of Dubai in a huge piece of art, but also to create a perfume that embodies the pinnacle of luxury in the world of perfumery.”
The perfume bottle will be displayed at Fashion Avenue in The Dubai Mall from March 14 to March 30, 2019.
